Pound Cake French Toast

Pound Cake French Toast
Served With A Blueberry Maple Syrup!
Difficulty: Easy
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes

Ingredients

1 Pound Cake from the bakery, sliced 1″ thick
3 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1-2 tbsp butter
Powdered sugar, dusting

Cooking Tools

 Medium mixing bowl

Large nonstick skillet

Small saucepan 

Directions
In a mixing bowl, whisk together; eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon. Melt butter in a skillet on medium heat.  Dip each pound cake into the egg mixture until well coated. Fry French Toast on both sides to a golden crust. Dust French Toast with powdered sugar and serve with Blueberry Maple Syrup (recipe below).

Blueberry Maple Syrup

Ingredients

2 cups fresh blueberries

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup Maple Syrup

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Place all ingredients in a sauce pan on medium heat. Cook blueberries on a slow boil until liquid reduces to a thick syrup.
